On The Bait!!

Posted: 31st Jul 2012

Week 18 and it's a new group on the lake, the fish are now starting to really wake up and I think a massive hit is on the cards anytime soon. 9 fish out so far with 5 on the bank last night with a 43lb 8oz being the best, along with 4 x 30lb+ and some tasty 25lb+ Grassies. If they keep the fish feeding on the beds of Pellet/Boilie no doubt a few more fish will be coming out this week.

I have been down to the stock ponds this morning checking all is good with the young zander, when a Black stork came rising up off one of the ponds nearly knocking me down the bank, it was absolutely massive and took my by complete surprise!! God knows what he is doing here at this time of the year, it could have been a young adult lost on migration early on in the year, lets hope he doesn't decide to nest on the house chimney!!

Back soon
