Bod's Rig
Posted: 28th Apr 2013
Just a quick one, I have been down to the lake this afternoon with Bod in peg 1 telling me about his epic battle. He has just hooked a fish to the right of the monk after he was sat next to the rods and his middle rod went into "melt down", being pulled off the rests. He picked the rod up and with the drag locked-up, the fish kited across the front of the monk grating his line as he held on. After a lengthy fight the fish is guided into the net only for the fish to part the frayed mainline and the hook had fallen out!!!! You lucky Fella. The picture is of the hook, which I cannot belive stayed in and also the first time I have seen a raptor straighted-out.
The fish was an angry male of 43lb 14oz making it his 2nd 40lb in the first 24hrs, lets hope more is to come. Just thought I would mention, the previous blog had a glitch with the link email, the blog is on the website for you to read, titled "What did I tell you boys, it's all in the wrist action".
Back soon
