New Pb's All-Around

Posted: 8th Aug 2017

Playing catch-up again...and this weeks blog is from two weeks ago! We had a new group of 3 guys this week along with a chap who came when we very first opened so it was great to see Shaun again after quite sometime. Julian and Son, William fished side by side and Matt dropped into Peg 4 covering the open water. We had a massive cooling down this week after the hot summer and the fish did respond for the first half of the week and were actively looking for bait. Shaun also had a good start but the fish seemed then to move down the lake so it was on and off action for the guys each day.

For a first trip to France they had a cracking weeks fishing and to top the bill they had new pbs, with all 4 catching fish over 40lb+ along with 3 of the guys all taking fish to 45lb+ Best fish went 46lb to Matts rods, along with Julian taking a 45lb+ and William moving into Peg 1 to take a 45lb+ so it could'nt have been better. The week total ended on 30 fish with at least 10 fish lost this week to different reasons which did effect the total. 7 fish over 40lb+ and 10 fish over 30lb with 2 going 39lb & 1 Grass Carp of 38lb+ for Julian. The rests being 20s and some nice scaley stockies.

Sticky Baits working this week along with a little and often baiting approach seemed to get the fish feeding.

The following week has been a little tricky but plenty more to tell in the next blog because we are getting very close to the opening of the larger lake this september!

Back soon
