The Legend Lives On!

Posted: 17th Jul 2012

This is a post for all our regulars who know all about the "Wookie" . Now to fill you in she is my side kick dog that does the breakfast rounds each day when I bring the full English Baguette down to the lads at their pegs. A Cairn Terrier/Wolverine, she is shaped like a keg of beer and every time she falls off the boat when we are out on the lakes she sinks like a sack of cement, she is a block!! Now, high on her menu is solid PVA bags, method balls, hemp & corn with a drizzle of fish oil, anything boilie shaped with or without hook ( Be Warned) and once  she tried to eat a spod whole, with contents!! Well, last week after scoffing her tea she started to be sick up at the house, and we thought, here we go again she's eaten another rig and a £600 vet bill will be arriving, we gave her a full bowl of water that night but in the morning when I came down she was foaming at the mouth with her eyes rolling around her head, I then knew she had eaten some kind of poision. She was wandering around the garden like Ozzy Osbourne for 3 days and then started to smell like a rotten cabbage, which must have been the toxins expelling from her skin. I was looking for the gun while Jayne was running the bath but I could not find the shotgun cartridges so we opted for the bath instead!! Well after that she was like a different dog, full of life and the old girl pulled through AGAIN, damn...

So be warned the beast lives on, so no sauasge is safe, & as I look over my shoulder the "Beast" is not in her basket, "Jayne where's the Dog?" I bet she's down at bloody peg 1 again!!

Back to the fishing, Week 16 is another regular bunch made up of three Geordie lads who have their factor 50 slapped on with skin like polar bears, i can see them going home like the seen from "Only fools & Horses" when Rodders is left under the sun bed, steady lads!! But they are working their socks off this week and the fish are clouding the lake up like an atomic bomb has gone off in pegs 3 & 4 again!!! 2nd 40lb fish on the bank this morning at 44lb 2oz so lets hope they keep scoffing.

Will keep you posted

Over and out
