12 Months Have Past

Posted: 4th Aug 2013

Well it's just been over 12 months since the new website went live and we are just under 30,000 clicks so far on the blog!!! I can appreciate that a percentage will be other lake owners in France and also our regular guys clicking on each week wanting to keep informed of how things are going. That's around 500 clicks each week so it just goes to show that it's all been worth while. I still believe the main ingredient for running a successfu…

Sparrowhawks & Bloodworm

Posted: 11th Aug 2013

Well it's another week over, and a few more stories to tell!! First of all we just wanted to say what a cracking group we have just had, newcomers here and not just good anglers but good people to boot, which makes the job so worth while. Kev & Alex booked the lake along with Clare joining the group for a week of rest and sunshine, along with my new mate "Willow". She was a Big, black labrador who was the easiest dog in the world to win over with …

Getting On The Bait.

Posted: 15th Aug 2013

With a drop in temperature giving us lovely misty mornings when the lake water temp is warmer than the cool air, the fish are now moving onto beds of bait at last. This weather is so typical of August, and you can feel that slight nip of cool air in the evenings down in the valley, which always seems to be a trigger for the fish after 2 months of very hot weather, and it's now time for a few fish to grace the banks I think!!!! After last week when the…

Now You See Me,Now You Don't.

Posted: 18th Aug 2013

Well the picture says it all really!!! 40lb of Grass Carp saying no to the camera lens and leaving Adam in Peg 3 bewildered. It was another great week of company from one of our regular groups, and the fishing was quite good too. All the lads were catching every 24 hrs, with the main feeding spell being late evening 20.00pm-23.00pm and through the night time too. The days have been very quiet of late with the fish feeding when the air temp just starts…

The Fabulous Four

Posted: 25th Aug 2013

Well another week comes to a close and it was a good weeks fishing with the Fabulous four again. Barry ,Billy ,Pete & Arthur come each season and have a good session each year, but no boats allowed did put Barry on edge a little, but he soon realised they are not needed to catch here and he can put a rig in the water without landing in the trees if he tries!!!! Joking aside the lads were catching every 24hrs and the fish once again had the sa…
