The Return To One Lake

It's been a busy few weeks and the title of the blog will be explained. The 15 acre lake is still in full swing.....all the paths and pegs are now roughly marked out with thousand of tonnes of earth being used to raise the path way along the full length of the lake which is half a mile long!!! At last we have had a change in the weather with a heavy short downpour on Thursday this week signaling the first of any rain for 8 weeks! We had a mixed group this week making the lake booking, with Mick, Paul & Steve opting for swims 1,3,5.....followed by Julian dropping into 4 to accomodate his marquee arrangements for himself and Sally his wife, but I honestly think it was for all his tackle and BBQ equipment!. Another week comes to a close and we had 4 chaps fishing this week who came way back in 2008....so it was interesting to hear how much the fishery had changed and progressed overtime and they thought it had matured massively and looked bigger than they remember!! Just catching up with the update from last week and it has been very up & down. I think despite the second heatwave this year with temps soaring up to 37oc the lads fished the lake with 100% effort, but conditions being so hard make it very hit and miss.
